today is 24 July 2008.
2 more days to the Gathering that I’ve longed for.
we have planned this more than a month ago..
and has been looking forward to this day impatiently.

do hope that everyone will have fun on this very day.
and enjoy to their fullest,
as if it’s the end of the world.
wahhaha.
not that serious lah.
but it’s just that everyone needs a break from their daily routine..
so let’s be crazy on this day  =)

and, just yesterday only,
i know it’s Shi Qin’s birthday this saturday..
AWE.. i can’t go to their gathering..
cos they only informed me just yesterday..
when I have my own gathering on the very same day.

next time we catch movies together?

today is 16 July 2008.
exactly 2 more months before the first day of school on 16 Sept 2008.
this is not getting anywhere.
because I have a near 4 months break before my new academic year starts.

although some may think it’s a good idea,
cos they can work during the vacation and earn some bucks for their wallets.
some may think that it’s a torture (me),
cos they have to work longer hours for their part-time job.

upon knowing that I am on vacation now,
my colleagues are taking advantage out of it.
i am being scheduled to work in such a way that so much so,
i dont have enough time for my family and friends.

friends will say that I can earn alot as i am paid based on the amount of hours I’ve worked.
true, can earn quite a far bit of salary if i work more and longer hours.
but my personal life and leisure time have been deprived.
that is not what I wanted initially when I come for interview.
my personal life and leisure time have been greatly affected.

will have to make my stand known to my colleagues,
and fight for the time that I deserve.

from the previous blog entry about me having a ferocious battle against two roaches till now, I’ve killed 5 of them.
they must be hating me now, for killing their comrades mercilessly.
but, they can’t blame me either.
For I am in terrible phobiaric against them.
just because of a plain incident which happened years ago..

it’s a bad memory that I wouldn’t wish to elaborate further.
just that when my family and I went out for a supper one night,
and as we were eating our food,
i sensed something brushes against my calf.
nothing seems to complicate my thought - It’s just a cat..
i stomped my feet, thinking that the “cat” has walked away,
and continued eating.

a while again,
the “brushing” sensation came back..
without thinking, I stomped my feet on the ground..
same, thinking that it’s a “Cat”..

finally,
one last time..
the “brushing” has irritated me..
i bend down to look at the “cat”..
to my astonishment,
it’s that darn roach.
i screamed..
and jump up on the stool..

after that terrifying moment,
i squad on the stool and eat..
daren’t place my feet on the ground, again..

now you know why i just simply detest roaches.

regarding the comment that I replied to Junie just a while ago,
i have some more things to share.
although I don’t have the courage to bring it up to the authorities,
but i feel that I need to create the awareness to others.

to people who knows what I live,
I believe you know what I will be referring to in the coming text.
just opposite my house,
there had been construction works going on,
to build 7 Terrace Houses with underground car-park to be shared by the residents.

the work is still going on,
or at least it seems to be.
as there are still heavy-duty equipments lying around.

everytime when I knock off at night,
and when I am walking towards home,
i will uncontrollably look at the newly-built landed properties.
to see how beautiful they are.

but to my eye level,
all i could see is the basement car-park.

what I’m going to relate later will be very err…

for a few times when i pass by the property,
i so happen to see some guys in just their under-wear.
i mean,
although they don’t wear that and walk around on the street.
but still,
the place is not “sealed” either.
it’s very unsightly leh..

Brr..
every night when I walk past the property,
i have to quicken my pace and hurried pass.

now,
around my house,
there had been construction works going on.
it’s really not safe.
and the place is not well-lit either..
rather dangerous. =|

planned to have light dinner at Food Junction (newly renovated).
Joan ordered Rice Omelette..
while me and Junie ordered KimChi Ramen..
we ate until about 6:15pm
den drive off to Esther’s Church for the Musical Drama - the Great Escape.

we reached there rather early,
slightly before 7pm.
we “loiter” around.
taking pictures of ourselves with my Digital Camera.

around 7:25pm,
we were ushered into the assembly,
chose our seats and settled down,
waiting for the event to commence.

i can understand what messages that they are trying to reach out to us,
but i simply just couldn’t relate them in words.
maybe in simple term:
“When you are given a chance to repent for your sins, cherish this chance.”
(Esther, correct me if I am wrong).

I would like to thank Esther for the invitation to this drama,
I learnt a lot from it.
*I am enlightened*

after the drama,
me, Esther, Joan and Junie went for supper with Esther’s Uni friends.
at Amk Blk 107.
we ate until about 11:30pm
and we bid farewell to Esther’s uni friend.

I sent Esther and Junie home..
whereas I dropped Joan at Yio Chu Kang MRT Station.
Sorry Joan,
next time, direct me to your house?
den I will be able to fetch you home.

it’s a great and fulfilling day.

just got home from a dinner and movie with:
Ah Gong, Dorothy, Chong Ho Gor, Wei Tian, Shi Qin and Steven.

had a simple yet delicious dinner,
at Toa Payoh Lor 7, block 21 (i think)..
den after that, we watched a movie <Red Cliff>
the movie lasted quite long.. about 2.5 hrs.

by the time it ended,
it’s about 11:55pm..
den we quickly leave the place and headed home.

well, before I forget..
wanna thank Shi Qin for lending me his jacket..
or else I may be freezing cold in the cinema..
at least my legs are cold lah..

Shi Qin send Dorothy to the road-side to hail a taxi,
while the rest of us headed towards the bus interchange.
managed to catch my last bus..
thanks to the guys who helped me notice..

ah gong, you still owe me 50cents..
i-bank to me hor..
ahahha.. just kidding..
forget about it lah..  =P

it’s a pleasure to meet ya again after my 21st birthday celebration at my housey..
let’s keep in touch, ya?
although it’s a pity that we lost touch of HuiTing, Yu Wen, CunXi and some others.
but we can make it a point to maintain our friendships..  =)

this morning,
the moment I stepped into the clinic,
i have to put on my war-gear and battle against 2 roaches.
shats!!
i’m so damn afraid of them lorh..
they are still alive, and crawling around like nobody’s business.

i hopped onto the bench,
grabbed the can of Bygon,
and started spraying on the roaches,
with the intention to flood them with the pesticide.
they “capsized”.
but but but,
they were not dead yet.
concussion only..
their hairy legs are still moving or shaking or waving frantically (whatever you call it).
i sprayed hard enough again.
but they are still not conked-out yet.

oh my god..
how?
just keep spraying lorh..
until they are 100% dead.
by then,
the floor is full of pesticides’ stains.   =X
hahah..

after what it seems ages,
i took the broom & dust-pan and swept them off the ground,
and throw them outside into the drain.
the whole battle took me good ol’ 30 mins.
hahaha..

those who know me well will know that I dread and am scared of roaches or crawling insects..
and i have to face 2 of them at the same time.
good gracious!!

i took a piece of rag, wet it..
and start to wipe the floor.
ahahah..
full of pesticide - oily..
den when the doc stepped in, he smelled the Bygon.
and i explained to him that I just had a ferocious battle with 2 roaches.
ahahaha..

afraid that I will have a bad nightmare.
due to the fact that I killed 2 roaches.
scared they come and haunt me and ask me to repay them their lives.
brr!!

yesterday,
my colleague called me at about 9:30pm.
she told me that we need to plan our august roster soon.
and had arranged that we will discuss it on 20 August when we are working together.

after that, my colleague went on to talk to me about a contract patient.
it’s a long story though,
can’t elaborate much about the details..

she told me that the doc scolded her for 10 mins in the room..
not only that,
he also banged the table,
sounded really furious.
my heart went out to her.
cos she’s rather new..
can say she has joined us sometime in April only,
and there are still lots of things for me and her to learn.

i personally feel that even though we have mishandled the admin stuff,
the doc shouldn’t yell at us.
even more when there are patients outside the counter,
waiting to be seen by the doctor or register to see the doc.
the doc should reserve some dignity and pride for us.

well, dear colleague,
my bro once said to me “if you think that you have done nothing wrong, dun feel bad or what. JUST IGNORE..”
maybe there’s something loose up there in his mind?
