I can’t imagine I encountered something hilarious today!!
let me recite the scene..

In the clinic,
the phone rang..
I picked the phone up..
and.. (read on!)

Me: Hello, (the name of the clinic). How can I help?
Patient: Hello.. (Malay words which I couldn’t understand)..
Me: Hello, may I know who’s on the line?
Patient: (Malay words…….)
Me: Hello, this is (name of the clinic).
Patient: Yah yah.. Clinic.. (Malay words again….)
Me: Erm, do you speak english?
Patient: I speak Malay.. you speak Malay???
Me: I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to speak Malay.. Maybe you can ask someone around you who can speak english to speak to me?
Patient: No English.. Malay..!
Me: I’m really sorry, but I cant understand Malay, can you ask someone who can speak english to talk to me??

Patient pass the phone to a kid (that can Speak Malay and English, to do the translation).
Me: Hello, this is (name of the clinic).. how can I help your friend?
Kid: You wait ah.. (kid speaking to patient in Malay)..
kid: she ask you if she’s sick or not..
Me: (dunno to laugh or to cry..) Erm. I can’t tell if she’s sick or not just by speaking to her on the phone, she has to come to the clinic to let the doctor review her before doctor can diagnose if she’s unwell or not.
kid: she say she come here 1 week ago..
Me: May I have the name of your friend?

Kid asking the adult nearby how to spell the name of the friend.
Kid: Hello? her name is (her name la.. paiseh.. cannot reveal..)
Me: According to her record card, she has only been here for her work permit medical check-up.. and everything is normal.. she’s not unwell..
Kid: orh.. okok..
Me: Anything else?
Kid: no more le..
Me: Ok! bye bye~~

end of the JOKE..

and we had a great laugh man!!
been tempted to reply to the kid like this..
Me: yes, she’s sick.. Up there (her brain lah..)

We’ve waited for his album for 3 long years.
it’s an agony to wait siah..
度日如年~~

but finally on 30 July 2008,
his album is out.
hahaha.
i grabbed it on the very day.
very gan cheong (紧张) hor?
ahahha..

yeap!
will be attending this autograph session with Junie.
confirm liao..
cannot change..
or else no more date for us to go le..
heh heh heh..

mahjong session at Xiang Gor Gor’s Housey`

this day (17082008 ) begins with a yawn.
woke up, still feeling sleepy..
and head straight to the toilet, to take a bath.
enjoyed the warm water from the shower head.

after what seems eternity,
i’m done with “dressing up”, and packed my bag.
my legs are feeling heavy.
i have to drag myself to the bus-stop,
and wait for the low-frequency buses.

reached earlier than my partner-colleague.
went on to do the accounts,
and get ready the record sheet for registering.
after which,
my role switched from “admin” to “general cleaner”.
took the broom,
and start to sweep the floor.

just then, my colleague arrived.
have told her what chores i’ve completed.
so she went on to check the doctor’s consultation room and resting room.
she found some dirts here and there.
and told me to pass the broom to her.
so i passed it to her.
and also tell her to 顺便 sweep the rest of the floor as well  =P

soon, it’s 9am..
time for us to begin our day’s work.
i did most of the registering, while my colleague did most of the dispensing.
nearing the end of the day,
we switched role..
i do the dispensing, while she do the registering.
there are some patients who are troublesome and fussy.
but, what can we do?
they are the “boss” and our “source of income”.
so we have to be NICE to them.
it’s a no-choice thing, you know?

as we do our work,
we do our gossiping too.
and each of us found out some astonishing news from each other’s conversation.

the clock ticks, tocks, ticks, tocks..
soon, it’s 12:30pm.
time to knock off.
colleague does the tallying of the day’s earnings with the cash-box.
while i do the cleaning up in the doctor’s rooms.
at the same time,
changed into my comfy-wear.

colleague passed me the envelope to counter-sign and acknowledge that the amount is correct and tallied.
we packed up and were ready to go..
waiting for my brother to fetch me to my aunt’s house at Rivervale Cresent.
it was raining.
rather heavily.

at 1pm plus plus,
we reached our aunt’s house.
was helping her to get our lunch ready,
while my brother and Xiang Gor Gor and Xiang嫂 were discussing names for their soon-to-born baby girl.
aahahaa.
the discussion can be both lame and formal lah.
depends on the name that they think of..
ahahaha..
that’s so so so damn funny.
oh my god god god..

after lunch,
the time is near 3pm already.
started our Mahjong session.
Whoots!!
they are playing big big big..
ahahaha..
siong siah..

we played for 8 rounds before it’s time for dinner.
den my aunt re-heat the remainder from lunch.
and we ate dinner while watching the once-in-a-lifetime match of table-tennis..
Singapore V.S China.
fighting for the 1st and 2nd place in world position.
well, Singapore lost.
but but but..
it’s already a consolation..
as it’s the first medal that Singapore obtain in the last 48 years from the great OLYMPICS.
it’s a sight and moment to behold.

after the match,
we continued to play mahjong for another 4 rounds.
soon,
it’s 12am.
time to go.
cos I have to go to work today at 8:30am.

it’s a coincidence`

today,
i’m supposed to attend a baby’s full month celebration at my mama’s friend house.
(She’s a grandma now)
but due to some reasons or another,
i couldn’t make it.

went on to do some serious business.
and den went to Novena for dinner.

as we are chatting..
i realised that the daughter-in-law of my mama’s friend is actually a Burmese.
and i remembered that Joanna mentioned to me that our classmate/friend, May has just given birth to a baby boy.
after exchanges of some questions,
i got close to my guess.

den i called Joanna,
and asked if May has done the full-month celebration for the baby already or not.
Joanna mentioned that it’s just over (yesterday).
at that time,
i had a feeling that i may have gotten my guess wrong.
den i asked Joanna for May’s number.
and called May.

May didnt pick up the phone.
maybe she’s busy with something or what.
den my mum called her friend.
got through the line.

and found out that,
my mum’s friend’s daughter-in-law is indeed May.

from young,
we had known this friend of my mum.
therefore,
when i know about this coincidence,
i simply just couldn’t believe that “it’s a small world after all”.
ahahaha..

maybe,
this is fate and Destiny.
no one can escape from it =)

prank call

Just yesterday,
before I went out with my cousin, Desiryn..
I received a phone call at home.

the moment i picked up the phone,
the other party is calling for help,
saying that she’s been taken away by others.
asked me to save her.
i asked her who is she..
that question is posted to her at least trice.
she didnt respond that question to me,
and put down the phone.

she was crying..
voice was coarse.
and was speaking in Mandarin.

sensing something not right,
i called my cousin’s house,
intending to find out if she’s ok and safe at home.
next, i checked with my sister.
she’s in school..

i couldn’t think of anyone that I can call and check their status outside.
thinking hard,
i realise that there’s hardly anyone that I know knows my residential number.
den i heave a sigh of relief.
cos i’m hinted that it’s a prank call after all.

to all people out there,
please be careful of these kinda prank calls.
remind the elderly, not to panic when they receive calls about their loved ones taken away by some baddies.
ask them to stay calm,
and double-confirmed with the people around them if they are safe and sound.
if there’s something wrong,
call the police.
ask them not to get tricked..

these people are damn bloody shameless to make these kinda prank calls.
they are out to con the elderly’s money.
all in all..
just be extra careful..  =D

“work” alone! – Part 1

yesterday,
my colleague called me at about 9:30pm.
she told me that we need to plan our august roster soon.
and had arranged that we will discuss it on 20 August when we are working together.

after that, my colleague went on to talk to me about a contract patient.
it’s a long story though,
can’t elaborate much about the details..

she told me that the doc scolded her for 10 mins in the room..
not only that,
he also banged the table,
sounded really furious.
my heart went out to her.
cos she’s rather new..
can say she has joined us sometime in April only,
and there are still lots of things for me and her to learn.

i personally feel that even though we have mishandled the admin stuff,
the doc shouldn’t yell at us.
even more when there are patients outside the counter,
waiting to be seen by the doctor or register to see the doc.
the doc should reserve some dignity and pride for us.

well, dear colleague,
my bro once said to me “if you think that you have done nothing wrong, dun feel bad or what. JUST IGNORE..”
maybe there’s something loose up there in his mind?

台湾的小甜甜超恶心

i can’t believe someone as ugly and fat as her can give herself a nickname “小甜甜”
to me lah,
she’s those very baa type lorh..
and so irritating.. cos her 脸皮 very 厚.
like, rhino skin + hippo skin + elephant skin + komodo dragon skin.

e.g. Rainie Yeung is called “可爱教主” because she’s really cute.
but fancy calling herself “小甜甜” is actually being so 恶心.
and she keep on fixing herself with other 台湾偶像, saying how she and them dated etc..
although it’s for fun and ratings of the program,
but still, i find that she’s so 不要脸.

if you all have Starhub Cable Vision (SCV) installed at home,
maybe can tune in to Channel 56,
for the program <完全娱乐>.she sometimes hosts the shows for the actual hosts,
while they were tight with their schedules as <代班主持人>.

still.. the only fair way is for us to see it with our own eyes.
all these above remarks are made by yours truly only.
she just thinks that she’s very beautiful,
and that she’s very clickable with all guys that she encounter.
oh My God..!!

天啊! 这么不要脸的人都有. 换成是我, 应该会觉得”丢脸丢到家吧”!!
