after visiting her,

when I talked to 表姑 just now,
she can respond to me.
as if she knows what I meant.
when I asked her to do -

she managed to do it with her left hand..

cos she’s having much improvement from the last time I saw her.

in this case, late for ur church eh?

initially, we had arranged to go individually to Junie’s place.
as Joan has to go to church before proceeding to Junie’s.
when I am almost leaving my house,
i received a phone call from our dear Joan..
saying that she has overslept on the bus,
and practically missing her stop..
therefore, we planned to meet at Clementi MRT station instead..
den proceed to Junie’s place from there..
when we reached Boon Lay MRT station,
we head for NTUC Fairprice..
and bought a bottle of sparkling wine (Fruit wine)..
after settling the bill,
we went to the bus interchange,
and board the bus towards Junie’s place.
Paiseh ah Junie,
initially say 12 plus 1pm reach ur housey..
den in the end we 1 plus den reach..
and we are the latest wor..
apologies, ya?
Junie’s mom always prepare a sumptous meal for us..
delicious and mouth-watering food..
always tempting me to have seconds and thirds..
ahahahhs..

We played games..

after Monopoly,
we had a small time for present opening..

Joan got me a piggy-bank (pink), multi-crayon pen and a keychain..
Junie got me a keychain and a flower (i suppose that’s a cup coaster?)..

it’s a pity that Esther couldn’t join us in this festive season.
must be too stressed up with her final year project bah..

dun pressurize urself too much oh..
although need to work hard den have good grades..
but sometimes, adequate rest and break-times is inevitable, and also contributes to better quality work.. =)

yesterday,
I went to the Singapore Zoo with Joanna, Yean Yean and Alfred.
it’s been years since I visit this place.
it’s as if I return to the time when I am about 10 years old,
when my father brought the family to the zoo.
hahahs..
everything is interesting to me.
everything is fascinating to me.
everything is exciting to me.
aahahhs..
I’m a KIDDY again~!!
recorded a video when the zoo-keeper feeds the tiger.
took some pictures of the white tiger too.
recorded a video when the elephant is doing a show.
took some pictures of the DUMBOs (or JUMBOs?) too.
didnt know that my voice is SO LOUD that when I am recording,
my voice can be heard very clearly.

(the elephant on the extreme right is extremely cute. cos she’s always asking for food from her trainer..)
took many pictures of the animals there.
took many pictures of ourselves with the bronze statues around.
there’s Ah-Meng, the seal and the gigantic turtle..

ok lah..
I am going ga-ga over the animals there.
we wanted to catch the polar-bears in the exhibiting area.
but somehow we missed the timing of the show.
nevertheless, we saw some cute Guin-nies, a seal and 2 pelicans.
took a picture with seal and pelicans.
(it seems that the pelican is sitting on me, eh?)
when it’s about time,
and just before we exited the Singapore Zoo,
we went in to the souvenir shop.
I bought a Guin-ny~~

after that,
we exited the Singapore Zoo,
proceeded to KFC to have our dinner.
also, waiting for Uncle Dave and Joan to arrive to join us for our night trip – Night Safari.
We started off with a tram ride around night safari.
I couldn’t remember what the guide has introduced us.
but there’s one that can never leave my memory.
a rhino which weighs 5000kg.
that’s really MAJESTIC leh..
when I looked at it at a distance,
it still looks very big and sturdy.
too bad it’s dark, and we were told not to take pictures with FLASH..
or else the rhino will go eccentric and charge after us.
after the tram ride,
We “trek” around night safari.
hahaaha..
until it’s time for the last animal show.
speaking about this show,
hais..
got me into a fright lorh..
the keepers were role-playing,
and they went to the row behind me,
suddenly exclaimed to the lady (sitting behind) me..
about her shoes.
i was like,
“what?!? that animal is there?”
then, they went around to the next 2 segments..
trying to open the “trap” lying just below some audiences’ feet.
just at the segment next to ours,
the keepers brought out a snake? or python?
just then,
my leg go jelly liao..
cos there’s a trap just below my feet.
i was relieved that that long thing is not found under that trap.
or else, I dont know what to do.. =S
after the show,
it’s about 11pm.
the group was concerned whether is it ok for me to continue the trek.
cos i have an extra lesson the next day (14 Dec 2008, Sunday).
i told them it’s ok,
just carry on, don’t have to worry about me..
we carried on with the trek.
it’s a fast one tough.
after that, we took a group photo before we leave Night Safari.

on my 22nd Birthday =)

really appreciate what you all have done for me.
making this birthday a memorable one..
even to the extent of “ganging up” with my siblings to make the surprise work.
ahahahs..
earlier in the day,
met Joan to go Chinatown to have a fake tattoo done..
they call it Air-Brush Tattoo..
after which, we had our lunch there.
and went to my house to retrieve the car..
at my house,
I quickly changed and dolled up.
while Joan is doing her touching up of make-up.
helped her to apply eye-liner and eye shadow..
Cool~~ Joan is into make-up now..
Ahahhas..
after that, we left to meet Junie at AMK Hub..
it was raining rather heavily,
and the entry to the underground car-park is jammed with cars.
it really took me some time before I manage to find a parking lot.
and we are suppose to catch a movie <<BOLT>> at 3:30pm.
phew!!
it’s damn rushing leh..
hhahaha..
lucky when i reach the theatre,
the movie haven’t start yet.
ahahahs..
after the movie,
we proceed to our dinner place.
it’s somewhere near Bukit Timah Road,
it’s a Board-Game Cafe – Decoder’s Cafe.
ahaahhs..
although the place is rather ulu,
but the ambience inside the cafe is quite nice..
and relaxing..
we played a few games and had our dinner there..
around 2 hours later,
we proceeded to our next destination – Esplanade.
Joan said there’s somemore surprises awaiting me.
we reached Esplanade.
and proceeded to the a cafe – Max Brenner.
it’s a chocolate theme cafe.
therefore, all its food served there are chocolates.
we ordered chocolate fondue, and a chocolate souffle.

after dessert,
the threesome brought me to the “atrium”..
and told me to open the presents.
wah!!
What a big box.
ahahahs..
rather heavy too!
when i opened the box..
inside still have small small items..
total amounting to 22.
oh my god!!am touched neh..
didnt expect them to go all out to plan this wonderful birthday for me.
but hor,
i 心痛 for them leh.
they must be spending a bomb while getting the presents, and paying for the dinner.

after the unwrapping of presents,
i sent Esther, Joan and Junie home.

Joan is the organizer of this special day.
she mentioned that there will be surprises awaiting for me.
and told me to sit back and leave it to her to plan.

shall loOk forward to 6 Dec when the besties celebrate my be-lated birthday =)
although I may seems unimportant (redundant) to some other friends lah,
(somehow treated transparently, 有没有我都不重要)
but at least I know that this group of besties wont forget me de =D

been busy with assignments and work.
Since I’m a little free now,
shall update briefly =)
Celebrated my mama’s birthday on 2 Nov 2008 at Marriot Hotel.
had a nice dinner and took some pictures to remember this very day.
Now is the month of November,
got to know and confirm my working schedule..
Wheew!!
it will be quite shag for me..
have to work about 4 days maxi per week, including Sunday.
hope this wont affect my revision much..

this morning..
Alfred met me and Joanna at TPY Bus interchange.
we had breakfast together before heading to SPCA for our volunteering services.
Alfred waited outside for me and Joanna,
while we get the dogs out.
the first pair of dogs me and Joanna walked is mother and son..
their names are Machi (mother) and Macho (Son)..
though Macho is of bigger build than his mother.
aahahahhs..
2nd pair is of different breed.
Joanna walked Candy (X-Husky) while I walked Boston (X-Terrier).
Candy and Boston can’t walk together.
they sure will fight and growl their heads off..
hmm,
third pair..
I walked Sunny, and Joanna walked Handsome.
aahhahs..
Sunny I can say is one super-duper hyper active doggie..
couldn’t countrol him..
there’s nothing i can do to him,
but to walk him back to the shelter when we are not even half of the walking-route.
here comes the 4th pair..
Tin Tin and Betty..
ahahahha..
i walked Betty at first.. while Joanna walked Tin Tin..
but that two seems to be so rowdy that me and Joanna have to switch leashes..
weirdly,
after me and Joanna do the switch,
they seems to be more pacified and tamed..
ahahahhahs..
maybe tin tin got used to me while betty got used to Joanna bah..
at around 10plus am..
we returned to the shelter..
and that’s when Alfred could go in and take a look at those animals..
(visiting hours mah..)
we played with the cats at the cattery too!!
ahahahhaa..
at close to 11am..
we leave the shelter..
with Alfred signing up to be a volunteer with SPCA too..
ahahahs..
another dog-walker joining the community!!
Welcome abroad, Alfred!!
we are all animals lovers.. =P
