>> Day 2 at Guangzhou!`
20 July 2010
Rise and Shine! Woke up at 7.20am, went to bathe and wash up. Getting ready to have breakfast after 小姑丈 bought back from the stall downstairs of the hotel. We had 云吞, 水饺, 皮蛋肉丝粥, 油条 and make myself a cup of 3-in-1 milo. A sumptuous breakfast indeed! Too bad, forgotten to take picture of the breakfast. We were all busy eating the piping hot food!
After breakfast, we allowed our tummy to rest for a while, before getting ready for the next venue to shop. Left Grandma in the hotel to rest, and we went to the wholesale center that deals with bags. You can find all sorts of bags there. Recyclable, fashioned, back-pack, sling, all that you can think of and name them.
When we reached there, there were already tons of people starting to get their goods! Super crowded.

Went in to one of the “plaza”, and while 姑姑 and 小姑丈 were selecting the patterns, designs, materials of the bags that they wanna carry in to Singapore, I went across the store to look at some wallets. Bought one wallet for my own (at a bargained price), and two card holders (bronze and pink). 姑姑 went over and got herself 3 card holders too!
At about 1pm, our tummies began to rumble. Time for lunch! We crossed the overhead bridge, and went into a mall, entered a restaurant to get our queue number, and started standing there waiting for our turn to be seated!

The food looks great, isn’t it? They served in a big portion. Standard size! Unlike Singapore we can choose the size of the serving to be 小,中 or 大. Can’t finish the big bowl of 酸菜鱼. Hey! that’s one of the nice dish that I will remember always! Till now, 我还在回味那个味道.

After lunch, 姑姑 and 小姑丈 continued searching for bags and placing orders. at about 4pm plus, 小姑丈 went back to the hotel, to put some stuffs down, and fetch Grandma to meet us at 立桦. 小姑丈 wanna get jade (zodiac). While me, 姑姑 and 荔妃 walked towards the jade wholesalers, we felt warm and humid. Hence, we decided to stop by an eatery, to have some cold desserts to cool ourselves down, while waiting for 小姑丈 and Grandma.

While the adults were hunting for suitable jades for their needs, me and Grandma went into a nearby Temple to offer our prayers and to explore the temple. they have at least 180尊罗汉像. Some of them looked the same, and I couldn’t recognize who is who. We were amazed by the craft work that they have done. NICE!!
After 姑姑 and 小姑丈 finished with their jade buying, it’s evening time already! 姑姑 brought us to a CD shop that sells many movies, dramas, songs, etc. Chose <谈情说案> and <老公万岁> plus some Chinese and English movies. 姑姑 and 小姑丈 chose some for themselves too. There, I’ve found a movie that I’ve been searching for a long time. Asked Jin Xing but he don’t know the title. I couldn’t recall. Hence, it’s a struggle to me. Want to watch the movie online, but don’t know the title. ahahhaha! But alas, I’ve found it!!! Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Theif!
After much struggle with the discs, we trotted towards our makan venue: 新荔都酒家 at 上下九步行街。

After dinner, we shopped around this mall, and I bought 2 blouses and a pair of shoes!
i want to try the sour veg fish too. wonder how it tastes like.
I tell you, it’s really nice! just the dish itself can be used to eat with rice! I am craving for more of this food. but ah, it’s spicy de.. they use chili padi and pepper granules to make the soup. like 麻辣 de feeling. but it’s damn shiok lorh!!
