久违了,日记!
Long time no see, People!!
Been enjoying the festive holidays during the CNY. However, I’ve been down with flu, fever and cough on Day 1 of CNY. Terrible feeling though, but at least I am granted an MC from work on Friday.
Many thoughts accumulated recently, and I’ve been contemplating my plans. Will need to set my thoughts right and proceed on. I need to move on. I need to progress. I need to upgrade. I need to advance.
Can’t be soft-hearted any more. Need to be tough. I’ve been sparing thoughts for others, who have been doing so to me? Maybe at times, I have to be selfish in order to protect my own interest, and have a better future in my career stage.
Am happy that I can share my thoughts and plans with people around me. Am happy that they are supportive of me. Am happy that finally I can make breakthrough with what I am doing now. Am happy that I can see light right in front of me. Am happy that 2012 will be a good year for me.
Well, all I need now is a good timing and good opportunity, for me to move on, for me to progress, for me to advance.

It’s been sometime since I last updated my bloggie! There’s many for me to tell, but due to wordings constraints, I will just summarize a few things that I would like to share with, maybe with recent happenings first. When I have the opportunity to, I will try to recap those past happenings (during my MIA period), and update here!
Exams are just round the corner, and I am getting stressed up! I have this phobia or barrier for my Financial Management Module. The resistance to absorb the lecture materials is very high, and in less than a month’s time, I will be sitting for this paper. Have been trying my very best to understand the contents in the lecture notes, hoping to kick off with the practice questions after completing the notes. However, I am not making any progress with it.
Many people told me, and have been telling me that juggling between a Full-Time Job and a Part-Time Study is not easy. Yes! That, I agree! When I am at work, I will be thinking about my exams, and my revision progress (It’s going damn slow). When I am flipping through my notes, I will be thinking about work (like what has yet to be completed; when is the deadline for which tasks; have I missed out anything that is important; have boss reverted back to the client, etc). Because of these “distractions”, I can’t do well in both work and revision. That’s maddening and worrying!! I seriously need to take a breather!!
Recently, for the past 2 weeks or so, I have faced a number of problems and difficult people. Am glad that all is settled now. Thanks to the supported rendered to me by my Colleagues, Boss, and Bros! My colleagues handled the difficult people with me, assisted to solve the problem (but eventually it was resolved by lady boss). When I met a threat-ful candidate, my boss took over and handled him for me.
When I told my Bros about these problems, they lent their attentive listening ears to me, waiting for me to lash out everything (saying what I have to say), before they give their priceless worth of views and opinions. They comforted me, making me feel better and regained my confidence to handle similar situations again in the future. Thank you for the attentive ears!! That’s what I really appreciate and hope for when I pour out problems and grumbles on certain issues! When I start to confide in someone, that’s when i really hope that I can find one that will listen to me, else I wont be bringing the matter up and confide, right? Therefore, I really wanna thank these Bros for “listening” to me (I actually first msn and fb chat them the happenings, but during me typing the happening out, they waited patiently for me to finish off what I wanna convey to them before they began their comments).
Well, from this, I know who I can really confide in, regardless of what problems I faced, how minor can that be, etc. =)
15 April 2011, KCPSS celebrated her 87th Founder’s Day! I went back with the Bros and Dorothy Ko, and managed to do some catch-up with the teachers whom have taught us before. Took pictures with them. A moment to remember! We celebrated Steven’s Birthday after the gathering at school. Yeap! Nice day (even thought I experienced one difficult person in office in the afternoon). Happy to the Max!
16 April 2011, a day to spread love and rejoice! My beloved Charlotte Jie is getting married on this special day to Mr David Wisener! Caught up with ex-colleagues, those jie-jies who have doted on me and took care of me during my employment there. Had fun! Charlotte Jie! Thanks for the invitation, and thanks for not forgetting me! So touched! Really happy for you! I nearly teared when you said “I Will!” 要幸福哦! We must get in touch often man! Happy to the Max too!
In the evening, I met up with my lovely Besties! Thanks to Joan for arranging this! It’s great to see you girls again before I start to become inactive for gatherings till end of May! Bear with me for a while, let me brush through these few weeks and I will have my long-awaiting freedom! Junie, jia you for your course! Seeing you upgrading yourself give me the motivation for wanting to do the same too! But not that soon, I really need to take a break from the books, and concentrate on my work first, many things are super lagging behind. Argh! 烦啊! My brain capacity not big enough to fit so many things! And my concentrating power is getting weaker and weaker! Oh no! *Piak Piak* Fonda! Wakey! Focus!!!
>> Busy Week`
For the past week since the New Year, office has been busy, and things are beginning to roll. Although the process is slow, it shows a good sign. At least things are on track now. Office is hiring a recruitment consultant and an accountant. Yea! It’s high time they should be in. So that they can have their own specialization, and I can provide full admin support. I believe things will expedite more if they join in. Else, counting me alone will not get things done with the speed that we are expecting. We want growth in the company’s sales margin.
A new year is a new beginning, and I am anticipating a busy recruiting exercise after Chinese New Year. we all know the reasons. People getting their bonuses and hop to other companies which offer them better packages and benefits. Who won’t head towards the direction of progression? We all want to climb high in our career. That’s inevitable.
Examination timetable is out. Will be having my papers spread over a span of 8 days. Not too long, and not too fast. Hope this year’s paper will be a smooth sailing one. Let me go over it and move on with my career. =) Daddy starts to nag at me, so I don’t want to disappoint him, and to those that supports me and have faith in me. Especially those who encourages me every now and then. CHIONG AH!!!!!!
Lastly, let me wish all those who read this entry a very advanced Happy CNY 2011. Wish all with pink of health, have a bloated pocket/wallet, and their wishes all come true (for good ones only).
新年快乐!
>> 千言万语`
In the month of December, many things have happened. There’re happy moments, infuriating moments, sad and emo moments too. All of these add together, spicing up our lives. But we should treasure these moments, as they are compiled into our life-story, making it an interesting one.
Few days ago, I celebrated Christmas with Colleagues, Family and Friends, with lots of laughter, madness and most importantly, I have spent the time together with those whom I wanted to spend with (although not to forget those belated ones). Took some pictures that will jolt my memory few years later down the road.

[waiting for more photos to be sent to me. Pls wait patiently, ya?]
However, today (31 December 2010), my daddy brought a bad news to me. An uncle whom had watched me grow up when I was a baby passed away on 28 December 2010. That feeling is just not right. Don’t feel good. Someone whom I know for 24 years is gone, just like that. Didn’t have a chance to say good-bye. Don’t like the feeling of the sudden-parting. Dread it.
>> Busy but fruitful week`
For the past week, it’s a transition period for me. Lady Boss wanted to re-organize all documentations – filings and computer. Been trying to fix everything up, and have been monitoring job request orders from clients. I am amazed my tiny brain is able to take all these. I am thankful to Lady Boss for being patient to me, and provide her guidance to me during this transition period. Not all is accounted for and I believe I will be busy for the next 2 to 3 weeks until end of 2010.
Will be picking a candidate up on Wednesday at the airport, and will assist her to orientate herself in Singapore. I like it! It is a totally different experience from a normal desk-bound job, and an experience worth going through. I’m all smiles!! =D
Looking forward to the holidays (Christmas and New Year). I’m having Christmas “gathering” at Junie’s place – a usual routine that we Besties have been doing for close to 10 years!
>> From 3 Dec 2010 to 6 Dec 2010`
3 Dec 2010
Yes, this is a very special day. Yours truly turned 24 on this very day. Met up with Mummy and Brother for lunch at Amoy Street Market. We had this very nice fish soup <Piao Ji Fish Porridge>. The queue was forever long. Lucky Mum and Bro went early to Q, and when it’s about time, they gave me a buzz and I made my way to the market. Mummy bought me a LongChamp black bag. Nice! Love it lots.
Met up with Cousin Desiryn for dinner at United Square – Vienna. It’s been ages since we two had meals together. Let’s have it more often, ya? Thank you for the Sticky Sweets! I only mentioned it once in your room that I would love to have it, and you got it for me on my birthday! Thank you to your bf Jeremy too, for making a trip down to buy it. Will slowly slowly eat.. Hee Hee hee!
After dinner, I went to Cousin Desiryn’s house and stayed till about 2am before I made my way home. Didnt worry about the last bus and MRT. I just live about 14 houses away from her. So, I just need to WALK home! hahahaha!!

4 Dec 2010
Lazing around at home. Till it’s about time to leave house for school.
Met the Besties at Sunset Way after lessons. We had Grill-out for dinner! The staff is nice. He introduced us a combo meal for us to share. However, the meal includes beef which we do not want to have. So, he mix-and-match other food like clams and mussels, and extra serving of the pork to replace the beef in the set. Very nice of him!
After dinner, we walked one round about Sunset Way, before heading to the dessert/ice-cream shop just next to Grill-out!. Besties taught me maths there. Yes, I forget my differentiation (product/quotient/chain rules), integration. and I am weak in Logarithms. Joan brought our Poly maths calculus book, lending it to me to practice the questions inside. Thanks Besties for the dinner treat, I know it costs a bomb! oOps!!

5 Dec 2010
Lazing around at home, watching my dramas. I am a super duper drama freak!!
Till around 5.30pm, i started to get ready for dinner out. Daddy brought us to Tampines 1 for dinner. and he has promised to sponsor our (me, sis, bro) trip to Guangzhou next year. So excited about the trip. Hee hee.
6 Dec 2010
Reported to International Plaza #13-04. Started to do the un-packing and tidying of my work station. At about 12pm, Pearce and Elsie treat the office lunch at Kia Hiang Restaurant within IP. Oh ya! Pearce and Elsie will be my boss and lady boss from now on. They are nice people. And I really appreciate their guidance towards my work from Day 1.

The boss that I’ve always been grumbling about has withdraw from the partnership. Hence, can considered that he no longer will be with the company. Don’t know why, I feel relieved and have this strong belief that I can excel in my work with the company, and my effort will be put in much more than previous days.

After dinner, I walked to NEX. Did a cheque deposit, and get some stuff from Popular Bookstore. Yes! I bought Anthony Neely’s Album – First Lesson. He’s my handsome prince =P

>> 为什么今天的时间过得特别慢?`
今天过得好像蜗牛爬得一样慢。
有些累,好想打瞌睡哦!
偏偏现在又下起雨来,
正是个补眠的好时间。
好期待明天哦,
因为可以和妈妈和弟弟一起共尽午餐。
而且我相信明天的时间也会过得非常快。
得收拾办公室 – 我们搬回 International Plaza
>> Moving back to IP`
After my MC for 3-days, I went back to the office on this faithful Monday. Saw some emails, and one particular email dampened my spirits. Our current unit has been rented out, the tenant-to-be has already paid the deposit for this current unit that the company that I am working for is occupying. We have to move out by 6 Dec 2010. Hence, boss stated in the email that we have to pack and shift on 4 Dec 2010 (less than a week’s time).
No way! I had the intention to take that Saturday off as my default off in lieu. So, when boss stepped in, I asked if we are packing and moving on the 4th. And he confirmed. I told him that I had the intention to take that Saturday off because I wanted to celebrate my birthday and would like to stay out late the night before. Thankfully, he is ok with it. Else, i will make a lot of noise. wahahhaha!!
So, here I am, starting to pack things up and organize them properly so that when 1st and 2nd boss come on 4th Dec, all is easy for them to move. =)
>> A simple Update!
Left home at about 12.15pm to meet Susan and Jasmine before heading for lunch (to meet up with the rest). and on the way to meeting place, I saw HIM on the bus. (su yong, you know who he is, but I don’t think he saw me or even recognize me)
Went out with ex-colleagues for lunch. Jany, Susan (and her daughter Jasmine), Sharon, Christine (and her daughter). We went to Bugis – Iluma for Japanese Buffet, mainly teppenyaki. We ordered alot, and we had repeat orders, since it’s an all-you-can-eat style. Food is nice! and we really catch up alot, ever since i resigned from my clinic job.
After lunch, we went to a corner, to divide out the cost between us. Just then, I saw a long-time-no-see friend, Joseph Chong Wai Kit. Ok~ I admit I couldn’t recognize him (in the end, he told me cos he didn’t style/comb his hair before he left home -.-) when he’s walking towards my direction with his friend (he said shopping kaki). And he couldn’t recognize me too, or rather we both 怕我们认错人. This “staring” moment lasted for a few seconds until he waved at me. Then I realize I was not mistaken about the identity.
My bad lah. Cos my memory of secondary school friends whom I long long long time didn’t get to see stays at the time when we were both at about 13-16 years old (basically secondary school times). Therefore it’s hard for me to recognize them at first sight. Pardon me lah, huh? =P
After our jalan-jalan at Bugis, Sharon gave Jany, Susan, Jasmine and myself a ride to Toa Payoh Central. We went to Q for KOI, placed our order, and went to the exhibition atrium to look at VCDs/DVDs for sale by TS. 10 mins later, we went to collect our KOI, and went to Gourmet Food Court to da-bao my sister’s dinner, and chit-chat a bit before we head home. Cos, I want to watch <爱>. hahaha! they so mean (joke), cos they laugh at me, say I AUNTIE.. Boo hoo Hoo~~
>> 让你们久等了`
Been busy for the past month. with lessons and work. Although there were times when I can take a breather, but that’s for my brain and eyes to rest. Hasn’t been having enough sleep, thus I treasure my Sunday a lot, because I can sleep in till my batteries and energies are re-charged.
Attended a preview yesterday, and done a presentation to a group of interested party, wanting to enroll in a course for Certified Relief Teachers in the Early Childhood sector. Pictures of the presentation (taken about 3) can be found at this link here:
Pearce treated Elsie, Lydia, Wendy and I lunch at Kim Gary (Tampines Branch). A nice lunch ever since I’ve moved to Kreta Ayer office.

Went to visit the dentist today for regular review before I report for work. On the way back to work, I made a short detour to get my food (I’m super hungry). Get my Chicken Porridge from Tiong Shian Porridge Centre at No. 265 New Bridge Road, Singapore 088745. The chicken porridge that I’ve ordered is superb! Yummy! One day you people should go and try it, and there are many other kinds to choose from (pork, fish, etc).

Oh ya! Before I forget, yesterday’s sunset looks great! here’s a snap of it.
